WOW. Thanks for articulating this, Hellekin and co. What I really like about this is that anyone could potentially develop any application, and practically any data set as a "participant" within it. Making things file-format, OS, and device agnostic (I would throw in programming language agnostic, at least in terms of architecture) is absolutely crucial.
