Hi - I run OOo under Windows XP SP2 and just recently when I click on some of my OOo files, instead of opening up I gt a Windows message saying "Cannot ope this file" and then it give the file name, and the goes on to say "To open this file, Windows needs to know which program created it". It seems like the file associations Windows has for OOo files has been erased.
Can anyone explain / help with this challenge?
Would it be anything to do with the M$ Spyware Beta1 program I installed recently, or other similar programs like ad-aware or Spybot?
Since my OOo files and shortcuts are not all in the same folder, what is the best way to re-associate them all with OOo?
I look forward to your advices, James Elliott
I have tried to detail the process to change associations here: <http://peschtra.tripod.com/open_office/topics/ooo_changing_file_associations.htm>.
