I received this email on another open source list that I am on.

I thought that with most people's adversion to Software Patents and the like, some might be interested in this link.  It's a USA-thing, so I decided not to post this on the discuss list.  That, and everyone's "kill-file" for my posts.  If someone out there still reads what I have to say, you might want to forward it on to the others.  THere is a link in the story to the form you can use to tell the Patent office how you feel.  The form won't work until Novemeber 2.

To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

So it looks like US Copyright Office will consider exemptions to the DMCA with proper evidence of fair use being squashed.  I suppose this might include using a burnt cd of game where yours was chewed by the dog.   Can anyone think of some examples?
