Personally I don't see him as a "war hero", any more than I would regard 
Imperial Japanese Navy Admiral Nishimura as a "war hero".  Google the said 
Admiral Nishimura and find out how he handled his final task.  My apologies 
to Japanese members of this list, comparing him with McCain ...
