When it became apparent that this was becoming a battle between the first truly viable female candidate and the first truly viable black candidate I thought, "Oh, no. Why does this have to happen now? And at the same time?" Fortunately, McSame is a fairly weak candidate for the Rebugnicans. They got their ugly prejudice-based politics out of the way last winter. We've had to suffer through it all the way. It's sad, but inevitable I suppose. Rod
