I have been using the RC5 release candidate for several weeks now and it
it does seem to be more stable. I did have to wait for a few plugins to
catch up with 3.0, notably the Sage RSS reader. I have also gotten all
the multimedia plugins working on 3.0 under Ubuntu.

The developers also seem to have plugged some memory leaks. The
application footprint is much smaller than 2.x, although still quite
large. But it appears to not grow with age. FF 3.0 runs about 1/2
gigabyte virtual memory size on GNU/Linux. Good thing I have 4 gig on
my notebook!
