There is an XML format and there are XML over HTTP and SOAP message support. I found it somewhat obscure when I looked about a year ago. But as DLNA is built upon UPnP these links that I bookmarked back then may help as a starting point: XML specs for the varoius classes of devices http://www.upnp.org/standardizeddcps/ (specifically 'Remoting', although the MediaServer maybe of interest too ) Some background: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb457049.aspx Servers and Test tools: http://elinux.org/DLNA_Open_Source_Projects https://coherence.beebits.net/wiki/Resources Regards Wayne > Peter > > - -- > Peter Saint-Andre > https://stpeter.im/ > > > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- > Version: GnuPG v1.4.8 (Darwin) > Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ > > iEYEARECAAYFAkqcVnoACgkQNL8k5A2w/vwqkgCeIMmPjUETyZtefpBJ7w81snVl > /6QAoMJqgbxIx2/UsIdBYRhRAxTrWztA > =XrHO > -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- >
