*About the Pokhran II* On *11**th** May 1998 AD*, India conducted three test explosions of nuclear devices at *Pokhran*. Two days after another two tests were conducted in the same location. It was the second nuclear test of India, conducted at Pokhran after the first one in 1974 AD. The codename of these nuclear explosions was *"Operation Shakti"*.
*Explosions of Pokhran II* There were total of five test explosions conducted during Operation Shakti in 1998 AD. They were: *Shakti I* It was the first explosion and exploded with *thermonuclear device*. Its actual yield was downgraded from 200 kt (i.e. kilotons) to 40 kt for test purposes. *Shakti II* It was a pure *fission device*, exploded using the Plutonium implosion. It was designed to yield of 15 kt. *Shakti III* It was a sub kiloton *fission device*that used reactor grade Plutonium. It was designed to yield of 0.3 kt. This test was primarily designed to evaluate the possibility of using non-weapon grade plutonium in warheads. *Shakti IV* It was an experimental device to yield 0.5 kt. The main purpose of the explosion was to study the explosion data. *Shakti V* This explosion used U-233 (Uranium-233) and was mainly designed for experimental purpose. U-233 is not the natural Uranium but can be produced in special reactors using Thorium. This device yielded 0.2 kt. -- *For doubts on Ubuntu and other public software, visit http://karnatakaeducation.org.in/KOER/en/index.php/Frequently_Asked_Questions **Are you using pirated software?
