Hello Wolfgang, today i tried to run the latest mpc52xx_can.c with CONFIG_CAN_MPC52XX set.
With my 2.6.28.10 i get kernel crashes at boot time with the mcp52xx_can.c and therefore i changed to mpc5xxx_can.c, which runs perfectly. I assume the latest changes of mscan.c like - using mscan_priv instead of can_priv - using priv->reg_base instead of dev->base_addr have not be adopted to mpc52xxx_can.c and that's why it crashes reproducible.
