I would suggest, if the *better* technology can only be implemented in
mainline, the SVN can contain the *old* technology.

In this case:

- mainline with threaded irqs
- SVN with workqueues

If it can be managed without a complete #ifdef hell, we might consider to put
it into one file or split it up into two files, like i did for bcm.c and
bcm-prior-2-6-22.c in the SVN.

Any better ideas?
