Ooops, sorry - our CAN interface is connected to some spare lines via a
separate board and uses SPI. Ignore me, our situation is a bit
different to the standard (we have an at91sam9g20ek derived board)!

The at91_can is build into the at91 core. SPI is unrealted to this.
If you're using the sam9263ek you don't need any patches. However if you
have your own board file you need a patch like this:
