Hi, some times ago I started to enhance Wireshark to capture and dissect frames from a SocketCAN. The patches work quite well, but there are still some open issues to get clear about. Take a look at the list archives of Libpcap and Wireshark for details. Theres no code yet submitted to the project trees.
IMHO using Wireshark to inspect raw CAN frames is not a big advantage (I prefer candump :-)). My intension for the patches was to gain a basis for implementing CAN protocols like J1939, CanOpen within Wireshark. Maybe you guys can give some feedback or like to try?
