Hmm, can you post a link to this document? I've opened CAN 2.0 spec [1] ( part A, pag 26) and here it says: <quote> A node is ’bus off’ when the TRANSMIT ERROR COUNT is greater than or equal to 256. </quote> So according to this tec can be greater than 256 :). thanks, Daniel.
