Nape,
I ack with Wolfgang that this might be a Xenomai issue and I see
that you got some promising comments on the xenomai-help list.
Looking at your kernel messages it seems that your harddisk driver
is very unlucky. So I vote for an interrupt conflict.

Thanks,
I'm very new at this so I hope I'll be able to provide comprehensible
information

Hi Nape,
what driver are you using for this board with Xenomai?
Well, we installed Xenomai with RT-Socket-CAN enabled. Some couple of
drivers are available with Xenomai
but I believe the one for ESD PCI and PMC cards is this one: xeno_can_esd_pci.
That said I do not manually load the the driver. I just plug in the
board and power up.
Do you load
any driver for this board when booting plain ubuntu?
No, not at all.
Which one?
What error messages do you get?
Ok, I'm gonna try to put whatever I could see here.
I get the following messages:
"Loading Hardware Drivers...
Loading Kernel Modules....
Loading Manual Drivers.....
(Then the error starts here)

Then it hangs here. This is about all I can see

Hi,
We have recently bought a PMC-CAN/266 from ESD Electronics and I'm
currently
experiencing some problems with it when intalling it on a Linux Ubuntu
machine with Xenomai installed. When we plug the board into the PC it[PC]
does not want to boot successfully, it hangs and gives error messages
after
an attempt at "Loading Manual Drivers...". But, if I boot the machine
with
the generic Ubuntu OS(no Xenomai) it boots fine with the card plugged in.
What could I be doing wrong here, can someone help?
For info: when I power up the PC without the PMC card it boots normal
with
no errors.
Regards,
Nape
