I'm looking into the possibility of using either the 4801 or 5501 as
wireless routers within our industrial facility. Looks like I'm
probably going to be looking at around 6 units, each with fiber optic
connectivity to our main router to provide internal WI-fi LAN access.

Since we are a municipality, I am licensed to use the 4.9Ghz Public
Safety band, and I'm thinking about using Ubiquity Networks SuperRange4
4.9Ghz modular mini-PCI cards.

My concern is that the card consumes around 1.6 to 1.75 amps of
current, and I'm wondering if the power regulator in the unit and the
mini-PCI card slot can supply that much current.

Any ideas concerning how much power is available to expansion cards in
the 4801 or 5501 families?
