I simply bought an Atheros one that was supported by the ath0 driver in OpenBSD from eBay - which meant I got it very cheap it does a/b/g and im quite happy with it :-p
I would suggest checking the supported wireless chipsets list for the OS you want to use and then getting onto eBay. Cheers Adam.
