Today I have 'rescued' the 2nd last soekris with such a power supply so I am down to 1 left and that's one at home so I am trying to test for how long it's going to last. Unfortunately the 'rescued' soekris also had two bad block on the CF and I am pretty sure nothing had written to the CF since Nov 2007. The soekris might have (re)booted lots and lots of times before being removed from the power supply and read those blocks on every boot but that's it. I doubt a PS could do any bad to the CF so I blame the CF for the bad blocks but the PS for he repeated reboots. What I'd really like is to not only have industrial grade soekris boxes but also power supplies of same quality. I don't mind if they are 11 units of currency or 15 or 20 or 25 as long as they, once plugged in, do not die within a few months. /bz -- Bjoern A.
