Has anyone setup SSD drives in their 4801 or 5501 units? If yes which
brand(s) did you use, did you have any issues with it, how much did it cost,
etc. Did you have issues with performance, heat, etc?

I'm currently running a 4801 for my home firewall using a 1G microdrive for
storage. So far I have not had any issues using the microdrives, though due
to their size and spinning platter I'm always worried about having then get
damaged. The SSD drive option without any moving parts is really appealing,
plus with a larger size I could store more logs and for longer duration for
better tracking history. I know that the access times on SSD's can be a bit
slow as compared to traditional hard drives, but for this purpose that is
not a major issue.

I'd like to upgrade to a 5501 sometime in the future and if possible set
that up using an SSD instead of a CF or microdrive.

Thanks,

Peter
