good one is a Sandisk
broken 4GB is an ATP,
broken 16MB is unknown

FWIW, using fdisk xpert mode,
Ive tried setting CHS on 4GB disk to match those on Sandisk.
the new settings didnt take (I didnt forget the write)

Are CHS values on a CF typically read-only ?
is it hardwired into the disk-emulation ?

are there known limitations to the PC-BIOS
wrt CHS settings it understands ?

the sandisk has 1009/16/62
the 4gb has 1023/125/62
