really great news for my 5501 ;) will make debugging really easier, an usb stick will help a lot (no need to open the case). >> I regret that the 6501 doesn't have micro-SD or similar but I respect >> your decisions regarding design and manufacture -- we've accumulated >> a fairly large bin of Soekris to be scrapped for obsolescense but >> none for hardware failure. > > USB and SD is bascially same kind of performance and same kind of low > reliability comsumer parts, so I decided on all USB to avoid doubling > the support and programing.... > > For high reliability and/or performance we recommend to use SLC based > mSATA devices. as early in this thread you said about new comBIOS for 6501 with usb boot, as I'm about to order one I'd question from when they will ship with new bios ? I will order from site to Phoenix, and as a friend will be there for a short time, there's a bit hurry for me (I'd like to get new bios if possible), so any info on how much time to the board get there ? (sorry for not technical question, but as for me all is connected here I assume will not harm that much, sorry if I assumed wrong - will be a 6501-50 or -70, to know stock availability). thanks, matheus -- VĂtima da Oi entre 2007 e 2011.
