In normal situations the dmidecode command should be able to provide you with that kind of information from a running system. Dmidecode is an addon package/port fro FreeBSD.
But !!! that requires that the (com)BIOS provides SMBIOS/DMI entries - and AFAIR the earlier comBIOS versions for net5501 did not do that.
My own systems are out of reach right now - maybe someone on this list could try running the dmidecode on their net6501 for you ? the actual os (FreeBSD, OpenBSD, linux) should not matter.
