I think this is probably to be added to the list of mSATA devices which are not recommended on the 6501 but the following:
6501-70, 2Gb RAM, KingSpec KSM-mSA 64Gb drive, OpenBSD 5.3 hangs on heavy I/O (approx. 20Mbps sustained through the NICs and Squid proxy in heavy use), the watchdog reboot then fails to find the mSATA drive to boot. Only recourse is to get in via uManager and #power off #power on to power-cycle the box. A set of identical boxes but with substantially lower I/O has not been exhibiting this problem (no hangs).
