Lifetime of the battery is ~1 month, rechargeable Lithium according to manual.
CMOS is flash based, so dropping voltage from the battery shouldn’t clear
anything, just wipe out your clock.
I don’t know why everyone jumps on the dead board problem as being an
overheating issue. It’s an unfortunate failure rate, but I am not at all
convinced that it’s temperature doing it.
You can try to flash BIOS or whatever from the uManager, but if changing power
supplies doesn’t help then your probability of recovery is very low.
