If there is a recent enough lcov available (> 1.5, in other words, a version
downloaded from ltp.cvs.sourceforge.net and available from
http://sofia-sip.org/~ppessi/) there are lcov and covcheck targets defined in
rules/coverage.am and rules/lcov.am for a nice coverage summary. Use
./configure --enable-coverage CFLAGS="-g -O0" && make lcov to generate a
html overview of coverage.
You can show uncovered lines as erros with make covcheck (or make uncovered
if you don't want to run make check).
The generated coverage summary is available from
http://sofia.sip/coverage/lcov/
(coverage for release 1.12.6 from http://sofia.sip/coverage/lcov/1.12.6).
