Hi,
I am making an SDR receiver (software part only). As I am building the
software only, I was wondering how I would finally check its working.
Then this is what came into my mind,
" since I don't have a working hardware yet, what if I ask the guys at
soft_radio to send me a "raw" file, maybe in wav format, by raw I mean
that the data from the soundcard is directly recorded in to a wav file
and no processing is done."

I mean I could then use my software on that file and check to see if
my program works.
I am working in MATLAB.
The approach I am using in software is the one in the SDR for the
masses project,i.e. by using I and Q channels from the Line In.

My final year project depends on this. In my part of the world
(pakistan) I am not "aware" of any person who has a working hardware
so I am stuck. I said I am not aware, that doesnt mean that no one is
doing, its just that I am not aware.

In a nut shell:
Could you guys add to the files section of this group, wav files
containing raw data captured from stations operating on AM, FM and
other modulations, a 5 min capture will do.

Thanks for reading through,

yours truly and urgently,
adnan yusuf
