Alberto (and all), I'm relatively new to using Winrad and SDRadio and am using both with an Elektor SDR-USB. When tuning the same signal with the same settings, I can see dramatic improvement when using the SDRadio Denoiser, even at its' LO setting.
With Winrad, I see no improvement in the noise level when I turn on Noise Reduction. In most cases if I increase the Denoiser level evenly slightly from minimum in Winrad, I hear increased distortion and some ringing. Needless to say I have not been able to use the noise reduction in Winrad at all. So, for now I use Winrad to find stuff and SDRadio to listen when noise reduction is needed. I believe you wrote both programs so I am assuming that the noise reduction in Winrad is supposed to be superior or equal to that in SDRadio. Am I not using the noise reduction in Winrad properly?
