Hi all, I built a DDS controller using an AD9951, it uses a pic18F4550 (I had one on hand) to change the frequency, control of it is using a serial port using ASCII commands eg F 6.060 changes the frequency to 6.060 Mhz.
I would like to know if there is any freeware serial port sharing programs out there. The way I have it set up now is the DDS is connected to a old P3 which a real serial port and connected to the home wi-fi network. DDS -- real serial port -- P3-server <<<>>>> Wi-Fi -- Laptop--Hyper Terminal. I would like to be able to use a terminal application on my laptop and send the data to the P3's serial port. I know of a few apps that do do this www.network-serialport.com sells one. Is there any freeware apps that can do about the same thing ? Thanks Kelvin
