Manny Papamanos released a rigging DVD for Soft a few years ago,
We purchased and enjoyed it, but it may be getting a bit dated by
now.. Still, alot of useful techniques from someone very close to
the software.
Unfortunately a second edition was not forthcoming...

Another thing is the scaling hierarchy that is different in
Softimage. Though, you can have it behaving like Maya in XSI.
I'm actually frustrated that you an't have it behaving like
Softimage in Maya :)
