Also, how is it that people wanting valid, straight forward information 
about this "opportunity" are naysayers?

In my opinion, if you're serious about posting about a job opportunity 
you'll be as forthcoming with information to allow people to make the 
most educated decision to apply or not and also to allow people to also 
filter out if the opportunity is for them or not.

You're always going to run into a line of questioning when being vague. 
Don't expect anything else.
