Softimage Opensource + MacOSX

Hi,
If AD is stopping Softimage, do they sell it?
What about buying the sources, making it open-sourced and porting to
MacOSX.
Curious if they want more then 20 m $ ... and if one would find 20.000
people spending 1000$ for that :)
