Hi,

The 'biggest' difference is the ability to save scene files/emdl's bigger than 2Gb on Windows. That was introduced in SI2014. 2014SP1 and SP2 were just bug fixing installs.

But the difference is a mix of smaller updates and fixes in all areas of Softimage.

If you use ICE/rendertree a lot I would imagen you like the new SI2015 TAB key functionality for getting nodes in. SI2015 SP1+2 bring in appr. 30 fixes or so in total, some very much wanted in the ICE dept.

I suggest taking a look at the SI 2014/2015 documentation and the SP readme's to see if an upgrade to SI2015 is 'worth the trouble' ;-)

cheers!

Rob

This came up the other day here - what exactly is the diifference between Softimage 2013 SP1 which we run here vs. the latest 2015 which I guess is SP2?

From my understanding there are no actual new features, but an assortment of improvements in ICE, the viewport and some Alembic exchange stuff. I would sort of love to be proven wrong though.

Cheers
