I'm genuinely curious as to why they would move to this model? At a time when The Foundry and SideFX, amongst others, are giving away their software in the form of Non-Commercial Editions in order to grow user-base and create a loyal customer-base, Autodesk seem content on trying to hold their userbase/customers to ransom. I was puzzled when Adobe did it too.
Can someone shed some light on why they might be doing this, as it all it seems to be doing, currently, is upsetting a large number of their customers. ________________________________ From: softimage-boun...@listproc.autodesk.com <softimage-boun...@listproc.autodesk.com> on behalf of Morten Bartholdy <x...@colorshopvfx.dk> Sent: 10 March 2017 10:54:43 To: Official Softimage Users Mailing List. https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/xsi_list Subject: Re: [OT] Autodesk - another angry customer Quote: "...continue to provide you best-in-class software, services, and support." - alternative facts...
