I am not 100% sure of what is going under the hood but if you look at the
documentation (expressions) you will see some interesting functions that kind
of showcase the different between; pretransformation, paramtransformation and
transformation…
My take (and this is just me been creative here) is that the numbers you see in
the Parameter box really are the object transformations BEFORE the CHOP
evaluation and further modification, and the suspicion comes in the sense that
the output node exports that data to the next node connected as this example
shows.
I have prepared a little example with five different methods, none is really as
easy as Softimage, granted, but you certainly can get hold of the data. These
approaches in some form can also being retrieved from other contexts (VOPs for
example) so it is not very convoluted sometimes.
Sorry of the scene is horrible and dirty but I hope at least provides a lead to
the method you prefer.
