He or she will be required to take full ownership of projects including, project organization, planning and reporting. The candidate will coordinate project work with diverse teams including database, server, SAN and other technical infrastructure teams as well as application teams. Work will cover the entire project life cycle including planning, designing, testing and implementing solutions. A primary assignment will be to install, configure, implement and document back-up and recovery systems and procedure using Oracle 10g Oracle Recovery Manger (RMAN). The candidate should have hands on experience in setting up RMAN repository and batch scripts for backups – hot, cold and incremental. The candidate will be developing and documenting procedures and scripts for different recovery scenarios. The candidate should also have experience in applying any Oracle patch required for this. Other potential projects where senior-level expertise and hands on experience would be required include the following. · Upgrade of OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager) repository and installation of additional add-on modules, specifically the Diagnostics and Tuning packages. · Installation of RAC - the Oracle solution for high availability · Performance improvement and PLSQL tuning initiatives · Warehousing · PeopleSoft Financials support · PeopleSoft HR support Please respond with *Resume, Rate and Phone numbers* of the Consultant.
