Location: Seattle Washington Citizen / GC / EAD / H1 are fine *Web Job Description* Our client is seeking a Customer Focused Technical Support Engineer. The CFTS engineer provides high level technical expertise on specific product(s) to J-assure customers. The engineer works closely with the customer's support and account team. The engineer focuses on a limited number of customer networks, enabling their interactions and solutions to be optimized to the customers' specific needs. Using the knowledge of the customer network and services, the engineer responds to high priority issues and ensures resolution to the customer's satisfaction. They own and work cases to completion, including performing live network troubleshooting, lab replication, technical escalation and problem resolution. Infrequent travel will be required. Specific Job functions: * Take ownership of high priority cases. Perform live network troubleshooting, lab replication, engineering follow up and fix verification * Be educated and current on J-Assure customers network design, design philosophy, topology, configurations and current hot issues *Required Skills* This requires expertise in the following protocols in large scale implementations: *OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, MPLS*. Knowledge in the following areas is also desired: *Multicast, VPNs, QoS, BRAS, Firewall and IDP*. Candidates must have a passion for the Internet and the new technologies related to it. Candidates must have strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills and demonstrate a history of high-level achievement in cross-functional organizations. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in supporting large, complex, IP-based networks. 3 - 5 years of experience is required.
