Quality Assurance Engineer

HIGHLIGHTS OF JOB: The outstanding candidate we seek will be
responsible for, but not limited to, these responsibilities: • Perform
functions to supervise inspection and quality assurance operations
involving incoming materials, in-process products, and sampling and
final test inspection of finished products, to meet quality standards.
• Investigate and analyze quality programs, recommend solutions and
ensures corrections are made. • Review quality standards, tolerances
and engineering changes, evaluating changes for rework of parts and
subassemblies. • Assist in inventories and the maintenance of quality
control equipment, including calibration and obtaining of supplies and
equipment. • Perform various quality assurance assignments upon
request of QA Director. • Develop and update procedures for ISO 9000.
• Perform and coordinate internal audit activity. • Review test data
on current products. New products conformance testing. Includes being
a member of the design review committee, performing and documenting
qualification testing and acting as project coordinator for outside
agency listing and/or approval, i.e. UL. • Quality verification
testing program. Periodically test previously qualified products
currently running through production for conformance to
specifications. • Reliability Testing and Failure Analysis. Establish
and maintain a program for product life testing. Establish and
maintain a program of failure analysis, both for line rejects and
customer returns. • Customer Interface – work with customers on
quality and reliability related issues. • Documentation – write, edit
and implement Quality related specifications as required. • Vendor
Interface – work with Purchasing Department on incoming goods quality
programs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: • A BS degree from a four year accredited
institution (or the equivalent in work experience). • At least 5 years
of experience in a Quality Assurance/ Engineering position in a high
reliability Aerospace environment. • At least 5 years experience
working with processes used to manufacture electronics in the
Aerospace industry. • Superb verbal, written and presentation skills
in English is essential. • Outstanding ability to persuade, market,
motivate and build rapport with suppliers and customers (internal and
external). • Ability to identify potential problems, collect data,
establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. • Ability to read,
analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical
procedures, or governmental regulations. • Computer literacy and
strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. • Must have the legal
right to work in the U.S. • Ability to travel local and nationally
approximately 5%. • Stable employment history. • Local candidate who
lives in Orange County, LA, San Diego, or San Bernardino/Riverside. •
