None that I can think of; there were some in the past but that should be

I think they are both required; afaik Kibana has no support for statsd
and is more focused on system metrics and log analysis.

I favor a separate node for monitoring, especially for elasticsearch -
it can become quite CPU-hungry, and might affect other tools.
