Dear Richard
in case drives are not same even then u can try following
boot the system in single user mode
create the same filesystem on the other disk and in case hardisk sizes are different then create partition which is sufficient to hold the current data in filesystem
once the partitions are created, make new filesystem in the new slices
mount the new filesystems in a new mount point say /new
now if u want to replicate /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0 to /dev/dsk/c0t1d0s0
mount /dev/dsk/c0t1d0s0 /new
ufsdump 0f - /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0 | (cd /new;ufsrestore xf -)
this will copy the data from one disk to another and now to make the filesystem bootable
cd /usr/platform/sun4u/lib/fs/ufs
installboot ./bootblk /dev/dsk/c0t1d0s0
this will make the c0t1d0s0 bootable and u can put the new disk in new machine with os and all applications installed
i hope this will help

Attach destination drive to system to be copied and issue :
dd if=/dev/dsk/c0t0d0s2 of=/dev/dsk/c0t1d0s2
i.e. if original drive is c0t0d0 and destination drive is c0t1d0.
!!! This only works if drives are exactly the same !!!
If they are not - you must do backup of every slice of original drive
and then restore it on destination one.
