If I have a file which looks like this:
-rw-rw-r-- cfusion webdev 1234 Aug 27 09:51 test.txt
Then shouldn't both ginger and cfusion be able to access and alter this file?
Similarly, if the directory that this file is located in has permissions set as drwxrwsr-x, then shouldn't both users be able to write files into this directory?
I'm finding this to be an intriguing problem, but I'd much rather solve it than let it stay as a puzzlement to the staff.
