try doing a ls -l > /tmp/temp.file
vi the file and look at the dir names, it might be that you have special characters that doesn't display on the normal ls -l command.

Would like to know what does the folders in red colour mean ??
Does it mean the system has been hacked ?? If yes, how can I protect my box.

Thx in advance.

Warm Regards,

Gaurav Shrivastava
