Hi I'm trying to jumpstart a V120 with Solaris 8 2/02. The jumpstart works until the V120 is rebooted at the end of the install.
For some reason it tries to mount the root slice as /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s0 when it's actually on c0t0d0s0. I've altering the vfstab, that didn't work still tried to fsck the c1t0d0s0. I thought about using the metaroot command but it's not on the system. Anyone got any ideas how get around this? I've noticed on sun's site that 3 patches have to be installed on Solaris 8 10/0, I've tried to install the latest patches on the net boot image as follows: # patchadd -C /jumpstart/sol8_02_02/Solaris8/Tools/Boot/ -M /tmp/108528-24 The command executes but produces no output, I've checked the Boot/tmp/root/var/sadm/patch directory (I believe this is where the patches should now reside after the patchadd command) but the directory is empty. Any ideas why my patchadd failed?? Thanks. Dan ########################################### This message has been scanned by F-Secure Anti-Virus for Microsoft Exchange.
