Wondering if anyone has experienced this problem. We have a file with IBM ebcdic data on it. I'm converting the file using the command 'dd if=x of=y conv=ascii cbs=128'.
This works well except for one change thing. Just before the newline character 'dd' inserts the character '8e' (that's right this is a hexadecimal number).
