hi I've created a stripe with 16k blocks for oracle data. Is it worth tuning the ufs on the stripe? the default is 8k blocks size created by newfs, is it worth changing this to 16k to match the stripe or should i just leave it at the default???
Secondly (NOT for an oracle file system) is the "largefiles" option for mounting file systems with files greater than 2 gig via the vfstab needed for solaris 9? what happens if you use it or in most cases don't use it?
