Hi,
I'm working on an
application that involves macintosh clients and a solaris 7 based
server.
For some time now,
we have a very weird problem - a certain directory on the server is being deleted randomly.
We have tried to
audit trail in order to find the user/process deleting the directory but without
success - There is nothing in the log files.
When we remove
writing permissions from the direcotry it stops being deleted (but then we cannot use it).
Some technical
details:
Server - SunOS sky
5.7 Generic_106541-23 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-4
Clients - Macintosh
os 9/X
The clients are
using Ushare (based on AFP http://www.iptech.com/Home/UNIX_Products/uShare/body_ushare.html) in
order to connect the files system on the server.
If anyone has an
idea on how to continue investigating the problems, please let me
know.
