shure.... the creation of /etc/resolv.conf is the first step...after that you must cp -p nsswitch.conf nsswitch.conf.org and cp -p nsswitch.dns nsswitch.conf . Finally reset the nscd daemon /etc/init.d/nscd stop; /etc/init.d/nscd start
This will avoid reboot your Solaris machine in order to resolv dns names.!
