If you have only one scsi disk then the best way to do it is with the dd command like another person from the list told you. It is the fastest way and this way you will clone the HD you have. So you will not have to a a restore just change disks if something goes wrong. (of course make the disk bootable)

I have only one scsi disk for storage of source files and destination backup file. I read man page of ufsdump and it need disk in inactive state to dump it.It seems a little bit complex for me.
I wonder if you could give me a little bit more detailed guide about the whole things on both backup and restore operations.
