Hi everybody,
I'm shocked with a problem in my site, is a bit long but i'm very interested in resolv it.

Network Administrators have implemented a virtual LAN, that is gonna be used by Windows 2K laptops, and by my Solaris machines, they provided me the necessary data, IP address, Netmask, and so on, and a socket to connect to tthat VLAN, I installed my machine, with all parameters but i couldn't see the other machines in the VLAN, printers MS Exchange server, etc.
Then, i tried connecting a little hub to my socket, and then connected my server to it and a new solaris machine to the same hub. I was able to install this new machine with JumpStart through NFS with my server!!.Now situation is, the new client can connect with the whole VLAN and with my solaris server(obviously), my server can see this client(obviously again), but can't see the rest of the VLAN!!, my two solaris machines have exactly the same network configuration.
So, i need solaris clients in different locations to work through this VLAN with my server.
Does anybody have any idea about where could be the problem?, could be in swtichs Network admins use to implement the VLAN?, could be in my own server?

Additionally i tried a PC laptop with Windows 2K, with the same IP and Netmask of my server connected to the same socket of it in my hub, and it works correctly.

I would really appreciate any answer to this message
Thanks in advance.

Andres.
