To see the PATH enviroments that are set use:
echo $PATH
if on tcsh or bash
setenv PATH ${PATH}:/directory/of/gcc
if on csh or sh
set PATH=/directory/of/gcc
export PATH
Look in any system administration guide of solaris on how to set enviroments

Hi Hajime,
Thank you for the information. I tried to look at this directory and its
there. When I tried to run gcc or g++ I am getting an error gcc:not found
and g++ not found may I ask what is the right command.
I'll probably use the compiler installed on Solaris 10 but I just dont know
the syntax
THanks,
Angelyn

Hi Angelyn,
I am not a expert...
GCC is in /usr/sfw/bin/gcc on Solaris 10. G++ is also in the same
directory. You can use GCC as C Compiler, G++ as C++ Compiler.
They are bundled in Solaris 10.
Do you want to use other compiler ? ... or more greater than 3.4 ?
Regards,
hajime,
