I have installed Firefox 1.5 on my Solaris 10 system and it works well *except* - for some reason it hangs when trying to access https pages. Having tried Mozilla, it has the same problem...
I can load the http version of a page quite happily but if I add an 's' to the protocol. Both FF and Moz just sit there with the 'loading...' message. This is my home system and has no proxy (and none is defined). There is a firewall in the router but I have no problems with Firefox on a Windows box, so I doubt that is the problem. Also, I can ssh into and out of the system. The only likely reference I have found form Google is to ip filters but my /etc/ipf/ipf.conf is empty. Is there some setting in Solaris 10 that is blocking https???
