I recently bought a fairly new Dell system from a friend, reasoning that,
since it was a recent system, and since Dell is a big vendor, Solaris would be
very likely to install and run with a minimum of hassle. Turns out I was
wrong. Solaris doesn't like the built-in graphics. Would somebody suggest a
widely-available, cheap graphics card that I could slam into this thing and
expect Solaris to like?

I know the HCL is out there, but it contains a lot of stuff that I can't
find for sale on the I'net, and stuff that's too powerful or too expensive. I
just want a simple graphic workstation so I can work with the new features of
Solaris.

Thanks
gear
